Is an Accent Wall Right for your Westchester County Home?
If you’re the type of person who loves bold color, then an accent wall is just for you. Painting an entire room a dark color could indeed be a bold choice. However, having an accent wall allows you to have the bold color you like without taking too much risk. I am always helping my clients with paint selections and choosing colors that collaborate with the room itself.
Choosing the perfect color is not always easy. Benjamin Moore offers hundred of colors with different varieties of shades for every color. It certainly doesn’t help when you choose a color, and it doesn’t look anything like the color from the pinwheel. The lighting in your room plays a significant role in how the color will appear (a blog for another time). No need to worry, though, we will walk you through the color process and guide you in the right direction. Color sampling is the best way to finding the right accent color for your room.
Accent colors should always be a darker color than the other walls in the room. After all, accent colors are supposed to provide a “pop”, so it only makes sense for the color to be darker than the surrounding walls.
It’s important to note; the ideas are endless when it comes to accent walls! Here are some additional options you can consider accenting in your home.
